Instructional Technology & Teaching Tweet Wrap, w/e 01-07-17

Inspiring, informative, useful, or just plain fun tweets posted on Twitter over this past week … collected here to share with our blog readers.

This week in the wrap … sink your teeth into what personalized learning really means, explore a dozen great tools that one teacher found to be incredibly useful (I for one want to learn more about Recap, the first tool shared in that post), and as promised , we’re looking more closely at security and privacy and to that end we share an article exploring what you we be doing to protect ourselves (good tips here to pass along to students as well, depending on their age). And that’s just the first three pieces of content here! There’s a lot more here to check out … enjoy.

I also want to let people know that I have decided that the February 2017 offering of the 4 week online flipped classroom workshop will be the last time I run this workshop. It’s been a blast connecting and working with educators across the world, working in many subject areas and grade levels, since we started offering this workshop back in 2012. The workshop is instructor-led and collaborative, and many of the 150 or so teachers who have taken it over the years have offered wonderful feedback. If you’ve thought about participating but haven’t got around to it, I hope you’ll get on board for this final run! .
